i love the phrase “jump the shark“.
i love the fact that something occurred in pop culture that so embodied a concept that it has become a euphamism for it.
i love it that it is a literal phrase that has transitioned into a metaphor.
can you think of any other phrase that so perfectly fits the same mold?
